The Carnival of Agropoli between history and tradition:
From the month of September, the papier-mâché work to give life to their creations, floats and size of incredible creativity with irony that address the issues of everyday life, offering a vision of reality emphasized. The mask is a symbol of Agropoli "Kajardin", reminiscent of the old pirate Kair-El Din, head of the pirates who invaded in the sixteenth century Agrigento. The great pirate mask is revived in an ironic and playful, almost wanted to exorcise the fear in this way. Kajardin is depicted pulls out his sword decorated with masks and streamers.
